MANILA, Philippines – The Commission on Elections (Comelec) announced Friday, April 22 that online Precinct Finder for the May 9, 2022 national elections is now activated.
“The Comelec Precinct Finder is now online and can also be used by overseas voters,” the poll body shared on Facebook.
To use the system, registered voters may visit this address: https://voterverifier.comelec.gov.ph/voter_precinct.
Users will be asked to key in their location (local or overseas), full name, and region and city/municipality of registration.
It will pull out information of place, precinct number and voter status.
Precinct Finder woes
Commissioner George Erwin Garcia on Monday appealed to the public for understanding from the electorate on the poll body’s recently activated online precinct finder which showed glitches for some users.
“The precinct finder was just activated last Friday but due to scores of people immediately using it, certain problems were detected but it is now working,” Garcia said in mixed English and Filipino.
Many registered voters here, however, continue to report their status as being “deactivated” while using the precinct finder on the Comelec website, or being unable to access the precinct finder.
Other problems were “error” or “under maintenance” notifications when one accessed the online precinct finder.
