The San Fernando beauty queen shared details about her relationship with her girlfriend of six years, Kate Jagdon. During the interview, Beatrice shared how she is still able to enjoy an active lifestyle amid the pandemic with her girlfriend, Kate.
“I love sports and my favorite game is volleyball and when I have free time, I go to the beach. I go scuba diving and when I want to spice up my workouts, I do a few rounds of boxing,” she said.
“I do most of these things with my girlfriend Kate. We’ve been together for six years, going seven in a few months,” she continued.
Beatrice also candidly shared how they have recently adopted a pet cat named Twix.
The couple are openly proud about their relationship, even sharing photos and sweet messages on their Instagram accounts.
Even during the Binibining Cebu where Beatrice won last year, she didn’t hesitate to share how proud she is to be a member of the LGBTQ community. She explained during the Q & A portion that what makes her beautiful is being true to herself.
“I guess what makes me beautiful is my bravery and being true to myself. To tell you guys, honestly, I have a girlfriend. I have tattoos, and I am proud of my imperfections. I guess that is what makes me beautiful,” she admitted on stage.
Last February 2021, Kate posted a sweet birthday greeting to Beatrice on Instagram describing her as a superhero.
Kate wrote, “If there is anybody on this earth who is a real-life Wonder Woman, it is you.” And alas, I am but fit to be your sidekick. And like any good lackey, I don’t need to be reminded of the really important times of the year, such as today. “In other words, Happy Birthday my love.”
In the last year’s edition of Miss Universe Philippines, two candidates also admitted to being a member of the LGBTQ community. Billie Hakenson, who won 4th runner-up and Davao del Norte’s bet Weam Ahmed.
