MANILA, Philippines – In less than two weeks before the board exams, at least one regional office of Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) announced the postponement of September 2021 Licensure Examination for Teachers (LET).

PRC Lucena announced on Facebook that September 26, 2021 LET in Lucena City, Quezon and Romblon, Romblon have been POSTPONED and will be RESCHEDULED to an appropriate date.

The agency cited, “The recommendation of Local Taskforce Lucena states that the conduct of examination will pose a higher health risk due to its numerous examinees while Romblon, Romblon decided the same upon the recommendation of their Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction Management Officer (PDRRMO).”

“Affected examinees in these areas may take the next succeeding examination without forfeiture of their examination fees,” PRC said.

“The PRC requests the public’s utmost understanding and cooperation as it complies with the guidelines set forth by Inter-Agency Task Force for the Management of Emerging Infectious Diseases as COVID-19 concerns continue to rise,” the bulletin added.

Meanwhile, LET in Oriental Mindoro, Occidental Mindoro, Marinduque and Palawan “shall proceed as scheduled” according to PRC Lucena.

The first LET during the pandemic will be held simultaneously in at least 29 test centers nationwide on Sunday, September 26. PRC is now releasing room assignments and now available for online for most of the areas.
