MANILA, Philippines – The Miss Universe Philippines (MUP) 2021 organizers hailed the newest queen to represent the country in the Miss Universe competition, in the grand coronation at the Henann Resort Convention Center in Alona Beach in Panglao, Bohol on Thursday, September 30. Miss Cebu City Beatrice Gomez was crowned by Miss Universe Philippines 2020 Rabiya Mateo. Gomez will represent the Philippines at the Miss Universe 2021 pageant in Eilat, Israel in December 2021.
Twenty-eight (28) delegates from around the country competed live and in-person for the title. They were chosen from the series of challenges that trimmed the final cut from initially chosen 100 to 30.

A day before the coronation, MUP announced additional two titles —Miss Universe Philippines Tourism and Miss Universe Philippines Charity.
“These two queens will not be competing in any international pageant, but should the Miss Universe Philippines 2021 be unable to fulfill her obligations the MUPH Tourism will takeover.
The promotion of tourism and involvement in charity are two pillars that the MUPH Organization champion. By having individual queens focused on these, we can further our cause,” MUP said in a statement.

GMA Network will have a delayed telecast three days after the event or on Sunday, October 3 at 9 a.m.
Organizers only allowed a limited live audience or 100 “gold” tickets holders only during the production of the second edition of the Miss Universe Philippines competition due to COVID-19 pandemic.
The Miss Universe Philippines 2021 Finale was hosted by American radio DJ and actor KC Montero. Singers Sam Concepcion and Michael Pangilinan were the guest performers.
